Rockfalls on the Northwestern slopes of Mount Pelmo

Following frequent landslides on the northwestern slopes of Mount Pelmo, which could affect the hiking trails below, the Municipality of Borca di Cadore, by Ordinance No. 16 of 10 August 2026, has ordered the closure of the trails and prohibited access to the entire area for mountaineers, hikers, mountain users, and other users of the trail network—with the exception of operators and rescue services—within the area marked in yellow on the attached map.

The restriction will remain in force until further notice, which will be issued through a specific subsequent order.
