At the base of Mount Pelmetto, on a big rock, there are some dinosaur footprints dating back to the late triassic (220 million years ago), attributable to three different types of bipedal reptiles.
Starting from Passo Staulanza, the hike is pretty short and not particularly tiring except for the last section which is quite steep and on unstable gravel.
From here, the chance to continue through the pines, cross a swampy area (I lach) and reach Rifugio Venezia, at the foot of Mount Pelmo.
