Ferrata to rifugio Sora 'l Sas

Beautiful trail with a part of via ferrata, to reach the rifugio Angelini Sora 'l Sas on the Spiz di Mezzodì group.

From Pian de la Fopa, half way up Val Pramper (1210 m) at the height of the rifugio Angelini Sora 'l Sas cableway, cross over the Prampera stream and follow the path 534. Crossing the foot of the Giaron de la Fopa the path climbs up toward the Nord gully to a junction (about 1400 m; 30 minutes; right to the Carnielli bivouac). Continue on the left along path 534 to the rock base on the orographic right of the northen gully. Climb up several vertical cliffs with the help of a small via ferrata to a ledge under the rocks. Continue on the left (west) through the wood clearing with gradual changes in elevation to the rifugio Angelini (1588 m 1 h).
