The Val di Zoldo, with the ski resorts of Pecol (1388 m), run by Val di Zoldo Funivie Spa, and Palafavera (1520 m), run by Palafavera Srl, is part of the Ski Civetta Circuit, with 72 km of fabulous runs that are part of the larger Dolomiti Superski area.
One of the areas with the heaviest snowfalls in the Dolomites, the Val di Zoldo offers unforgettable landscapes, surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the magnificent Monte Pelmo and the Civetta and Moiazza. The ski resorts of the Val di Zoldo – Pecol and Palafavera – make up most of the Ski Civetta Circuit, with an impressive 35 km of runs linked to the ski areas of Alleghe and Selva di Cadore.
Just 36/37 km from the Pian de Vedoia exit on the A27 motorway, they are among the most easily accessible ski resorts in the province of Belluno, just a 30-minute car drive from the town of Longarone. In Val di Zoldo, winter in the Dolomites really is within easy reach.
Skiing after dark
Pecol, in the Val di Zoldo, with 5 km of downhill runs lit after dark – the “Foppe” black run and the “Cristelin” red run, is the only resort in the Ski Civetta circuit where you can also ski at night.
The slopes can be reached by taking the 12-seater gondola lift up from Pian del Crep.
Also operative when the nocturnal ski runs are open is the Civetta Ski Hire Centre, down in the valley at the gondola lift departure station. Also open at night is Rifugio Pian del Crep (1764 m) downhill from the gondola lift.
