Ciompi (Ciamber)
Recommended period:
Summer (very visited); Autumn and Spring. Beautiful the blooming of wild heather in April and of broom in May. Wonderful foliage in Spring and Autumn.

Easy and short circuit immersed in nature. South-facing and at a low altitude, it is pleasant even in springtime. Interesting information boards along the route describe the flora and the surrounding mountains.

At the junction of Sp 347 (Passo Cibiana) with Sp 251 (in the locality of I Ciompi", 812 m), take the path 491 on the right (east). After one hundred metres ignore the path on the left for Pra de Val and continue on path 491 (Anello Zoldano) walking without excessive changes in elevation. At a junction (about 1050 m; 30 minutes) take a left to the Casera di Fagarè, whilst path 491 proceeds to Pian del Mugon (1060 m; 1,20 hours) where it intersects path 490 from Pontesei to rifugio Casera di Bosconero.

Left of Casera di Fagaré continue on the Triol del Camillo, which rises to cling to the rocky faces of the Castelaz and then descends to casera di Pra de Val and from here back to the junction in the locality of i Ciompi (2 hours).

Attention please: from Casera di Fagaré the path is not still accessible. It is recommended to come back on the same path (491).
