Hiking: high-difficulty routes in the Val di Zoldo
The wild, fascinating, unspoilt Dolomites leave the expert visitor truly spoilt for choice, with its viaz, or paths across the rock face, normal routes and other routes that are partly equipped leading to places of rare beauty, enveloped in the same atmosphere breathed in by the pioneer mountaineers during their climbs.
There is the "Sentiero Tivan" (Tivan path), famous thanks to the Dolomiti Extreme Trail, that has remained in the hearts of runners from all over the world; or the Monte Pelmo round-trip route, comprising the legendary Val d’Arcia pass, an extraordinary balcony over the Cadore Dolomites, an itinerary that runs along the same route as the Transpelmo race.
Experts up to coping with wild, largely unexplored terrain should not miss the legendary Viaz, the chamois trails that here in the Val di Zoldo are one of the unique, characteristic features of the Dolomites.
These unforgettable paths will leave you speechless.
ATTENTION PLEASE: as the communication of Cai Veneto (Italian Alpine club), after the bad weather of last October, some paths are damaged. For updates on the state of the trails please ask at the tourist office in Pecol (Val di Zoldo - via Monte Civetta 4B - firstname.lastname@example.org).
