In mountain bike to the Baita Civetta
- Precision time:
A medium-difficulty round-trip mountain bike itinerary along a dirt road at the foot of the Monte Civetta chain, to Baita Civetta “al Casot”, a charming little eatery nestling in the greenery, open during the months of July and August.
The route starts out from the village of Pecol, in Val di Zoldo. Go up along the dirt road past the little church of San Carlo and continue straight on along the fitness trail (CAI path no. 587 signs).
With Monte Pelmo behind you, cycle through some cool conifer wood, alongside the bed of the Maé Torrent, and continue along the dirt road, with a few brief, not particularly difficult uphill stretches. When you reach the Baita, you can take a rest in the open at the foot of Civetta, so close it’ll take your breath away.
You can go back along the convenient new dirt road, accessible from behind the Baita, which runs parallel to the road you took on the way there.
