Easy, practically flat route for families, suitable even for trekking strollers, amid enchanted woodland, heavenly lakeside landscapes and the delightful tabiai of the village of Mareson.

You might like to stop off at Palma, where you’ll find Pizzeria Palma and a pleasant park for children, near the Zoldo Mountains farm, where you can ask for the chance to take a ride on a lovely horse, or get to know more about the farm animals.

The route starts out from the large children’s park in Mareson, where you can park your car.
Continuing towards Pecol, cross the bridge over Rio Canedo. Continue along the local road to Via la Grava, where you can see an abandoned sawmill and a restored lime kiln, once used for the lime employed for the construction of the buildings in Mareson and Pecol. Once you pass the charming old houses and haysheds of De la de l’Aiva on the right (the road on the left leads back to the centre of Mareson, 1334 m, where you can admire the characteristic bell tower with the onion-shaped top), continue along the dirt road to Palma (approx. 1300 m, 30 minutes). Here you’ll find a restaurant-pizzeria, and in the large grassy basin next to the departure station of the Ski Civetta ski lift, some children’s play facilities, as well as the Zoldo Mountains stables.

To return to Mareson, walk along a brief stretch of the local road that leads to Pianaz. Just after the bridge over the Maè torrent, take the path on the left that runs alongside the right of the torrent, lapping the village of Mareson.
