Ski-mountaineering on Mount Punta
- Difficulty: Easy - please verify before your excursion the weather and snow conditions (Arpa meteo)
- Precision time: 2-4 h A/R
Situated in the centre of Val di Zoldo it offers a wonderful view of all the groups surrounding the valley. It is a great excursion which is not difficult and ideal for those beginning ski-mountaineering.
Drive up as far as Costa at 1425 m, a tiny village above Fusine. Parking is available in the square in the centre of the village. From there follow the path 497 as far as the Passo Tamai at 1715 m.
Having reached the pass the view opens up on to Cadore and Zoppé.
From the pass turn right and take the scarcely indicated path no. 499 which goes up and down in the woods leading in half an hour to Forzèla at a height of 1723 m.
A clearing in the woods marks the crossing of the paths. Keep going still in the woods and carry on uphill to reach the summit of Monte Punta (1951 m) within approximately half an hour.
Before to start please verify the conditions of the itinerary contacting the Alpine guides of Val di Zoldo.
